Job Purpose

Oversee and protect sports program internal transparency, integrity, independence and conflicts of interests,
managing sports entities’ governance through defining and managing a comprehensive authority matrix,
governance framework, organization policies, and committee charters in order to establish clear accountability
and facilitate decision making.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee and define sports governance framework to ensure the proper allocation of responsibilities and authorities across the sports sector.
  • Oversee and define sports governance framework to ensure the proper allocation of responsibilities and authorities across the sports program sector functions in order to achieve proper governance and effective decision-making.
  • Establish, maintain and monitor the governance model of sports entities’ including subsidiaries and
    spinoffs to establish clear accountability and facilitate decision making in the ecosystem.
  • Ensure that policies are streamlined and consistent across the sports executive program
  • Establish, review, and continuously update Sports Policy Management Framework to provide overall
    direction for the organization’s policy development and ensure consistency across sport executive
    program.
  • Oversee the enhancing of performance and employee satisfaction by improving the process flows of continuous organizational performance improvement.
Managerial Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the sector’s short-and long term strategy from the Department's perspective in line with overall vision and mission.
  • Develop the Department's strategy, objectives, and KPIs annual operational plans and ensure plan execution is meeting the targets.
  • Prepare and submit the Department's annual budget for approval taking all planned activities and
    necessary investments into consideration by monitoring the financial performance.
  • Oversee the development, maintenance, implementation and adherence of the department policies and
    procedures as well as the overall performance of the department and ensure KPI’s are well developed, cascaded, communicated and monitored.
  • Ensure effective staffing, professional development and deployment of staff of the sector in consultation with the Sector Executive.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or relevant (Master’s Degree preferred)
  • 10 years of relevant experience with 5 years in a managerial role
  • Written and Oral proficiency of English language.
  • Excellent communication skills.
