JOB PURPOSE

To oversee the management of our client's financial and accounting activities, ensuring adherence to
established financial policies and guidelines as well as international standards and global best
practices, in order to support the CEO and executive management in the decision making process,
based on the financial performance and health of the organization.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the definition and implementation of wide financial governance, accounting and reporting standards and guidelines, ensuring their alignment with all relevant international standards, regulatory and internal controls, as well as global best practices.
  • Direct the development and consolidation of the annual budget, ensuring the continuous monitoring of financial performance against budget.
  • Oversee and ensure collaboration with the Development and Asset Management function in the formulation of the Investment Strategy for development projects.
  • Oversee the development of the financing strategy based on the management of capital expenditures and monitoring of expected return.
  • Oversee general accounting activities ensuring they are in line with relevant international
    accounting standards, local regulatory laws and global best practices.
  • Oversee the development of periodical financial reports and financial statements, ensuring they are in line with international accounting standards and by-laws.
  • Oversee the financial reporting process, ensuring the preparation of periodical management reports reviewing progress against financial plans and budget, thereby facilitating the decision making process.
  • Oversee the management of treasury and cash management activities, ensuring adequate liquidity in order to constantly meet the short-term and long-term financial requirements, thereby ensuring optimal allocation and utilization of funds.
  • Oversee and ensure collaboration with the Development and Asset Management function in the formulation of the Investment Strategy for development projects.
Managerial Responsibilities
  • Develop and update the sector’s short and long term strategy in line with overall vision and mission and ensure accurate and timely implementation of the same.
  • Set the sector’s short and long term operational plans, and ensure proper implementation by the reporting organizations and reports.
  • Oversee the overall performance of the sector and ensure KPI’s are well developed, cascaded, communicated and monitored.
  • Oversee and input as appropriate into the preparation of the sector's budget, ensuring that
    adequate provision is made for all priority activities, monitor and control expenditure against
    approved budget.
  • Oversee the development, maintenance, implementation and adherence of the sector policies
    and procedures in order to ensure that all relevant procedural requirements are fulfilled in line
    with the requirements while maintaining high level of efficiency in achieving objectives.
Job Requirements
Academic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (Masters Preferred)
  • 12 years of relevant experience with 6 years in a managerial role
Other Requirements
  • Written and Oral proficiency of English language
  • Accreditations in CFA, FRM, and/or CFP are preferred
